smorg of glitter!

I added a coat of Wet n Wild to my artificial black nails, then a smorg of Love my Nails Glitters; Pretty in Pink, All That and Crystal. I had to fish out the larger hex glitters in Crystal and Pretty in Pink and concentrate them at the base of my nails, they eclipse the purple and silver square glitter of All That. I spread out the finer smaller glitters over the rest of my nail and laid it on pretty thick over the hex glitters and I still needed 2 coats of TC.

I do like to make fun of the description of Love my Nails Polish " For that deep wet look " - What does that even mean? lol! I like this brand of polish - I picked these up at Walmart in the USA for $1.00, they have some lovely colours, Love my Nails Dazzling is sooooooo worth having ( or any polish similar to it )

Sure about that? 4th of July nails fails X2

Above is Sally Hansen Diamond Chrome with Love my Nails Glory. 2 coats of each and a coat of TC. That's what I ended up wearing for the real Independence day. Below is another 4th of July attempt that did not turn out as planned.

I started with 3 coats of Wet n Wild White, then added a coat of Clear and sprinkled on a mix of some pretty red and blue bar glitter that I found at Micheal's Crafts store.... The glitter bled into the clear polish - boo - but I will work with this and try again with another glitter/polish combo. It does have an interesting look to it but I was hoping for some stunning red and blue bar glitter on a pure white base.

On my ring nails I added some silver stars..... that turned out all right. Also these are my real nails, I was doing some fun paper mache projects during the holiday weekend as well as digging in the garden.

Index nail ( far right ) has a coat of Clear polish - which made the glitter bleed....

glitter I used

and the finished Mani ( lol )

Electric Zebra

Except for the fine cracks in the black Kiss nail art pen, this turned out pretty awesome. I used Sinful Colors Unicorn and Sinful Colors Innocent, sponged on and graduated, then drew the zebra stripes with the fine tipped Kiss nail art pen. When I added TC, the Kiss nail art pen displayed fine cracks..... I wasn't expecting that. So I did what I always do when things don't turn out as expected...... I added Love My Nails Dazzling = Is there anything it can't fix?

Love my Nails Dazzling = I can't quit you

above and below, I brushed on, then sponged Sinful Colors Unicorn, and Sinful Colors Innocent

after sponging, my nails looked like the surface of the moon.....

stuff i used Sinful Colors Unicorn & Innocent, Kiss nail art pen and Nailene TC

there is soooooooooo many ways to draw zebra/tiger stripes

Kiss nail art pen - I really like this even with the fine cracks

Sinful Colors Innocent

here is after I drew on the stripes

with top coat ( 3 different kinds and clear ) the Kiss nail art pen had fine cracks = weird

Love my Nails Dazzling has to be my favorite way to fix any polish related snafu

grafitti sponge nails - super easy to do

Sponge nail art is one of my go to nail art looks - It's so easy just drop a few drops of nail polish onto  a piece of tin foil, then dip a  small area of the sponge into the polish then onto your nail..... I made this video a year ago;

Below is a video using a few different types of sponges.....

I have used all sorts of sponges, from regular kitchen sponges to pieces of foam paint brushes from the dollar store ( that's how I did this one ). This is super-duper easy, 2 coats of top coat will smoothe out any texture created from the sponge.

Today and last weekend I tried to do the acetone water-colour nails and cannot acheive what everyone else has = sponge nail art always works out for me.

For today's nails I started with a base of Wet n Wild White Creme, which is a white creme. There is a few bare spots but I planned on covering most of this up anyway.................

I used all three of these polish's I found at the DollarRama. They are on the sheer side but they are a pretty decent polish for $1.25.

The lightest colour........ a pinky mauve

the middle colour is a washed out pink

and finally the last polish - a greyed out purple

stuff I used; Wet n Wild White Creme, Sweet Serenity mini polish and a mini Color Club Top Coat

I can't stop wanting to use this polish over EVERYTHING =  Love My Nails Dazzling I added a coat of this over my top coat. This is multicoloured micro-glitter in a clear base. It is .99 cets and can be found in some Walmarts in the USA.

Nail Fetish tank top w/ LMN Voilets are blue and some nail art?

this was 2 coats of an older Nail Fetish polish I found at the Dollar Tree in the USA, followed by some hearts that I fished out of a bottle of Love My Nails Violets are Blue.

The Nail fetish Polish surprised me at 2 coats..... there was some bare spots due to my application but it was a pretty decent polish for an old-timer, and it didnt smell terrible either! This is an eye-catching hot pink and a nice base for the light purple and teal hearts.

Polish's with large glitter pieces like this are a pain in the bunz - I end up fishing them out of the bottle and placing them on the nail with either a toothe pick or dotting tool. I do like the irridecent glitter that is in many of the Love My Nails polish ( which can be found at some Walmarts in the USA )

Nail Fetish Tank Top and Love My Nails Violets Are Blue

..... and some nail art

Not sure what to call this  -

The base of this nail art is Icing Bordeaux, I added 2 coats of Wet n Wild Greys Anatomy, then used Kiss Nail Art Paint in Deep Purple and LA Colors 24K gold. I made purple swoopy shapes and went over them twice with the purple stripe polish, then added some dots with my dotting tool. I went over the purple swoops with the gold glitter... and added a little more glitter...... then a coat of TC.

stuff i used, Icing Bordeaux, WnW Greys Anatomy, Kiss Deep Purple LA Colors 24K Gold

This polish is a lovely duo-chrome - google it! I could not pick up the lovely colour shifting in photos. It is very VERY sheer and will definitly need to be layered. I tried to layer this over Wn W Silvivor and it looked aweful - So I suggest a nice opaque creme polish base.

On my pinky, I added some gold hex glitter, and didnt like how it looked.......I think the dots on thier own are just fine.

Pink Flower

this was very easy - I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in Jewel Frost, then crudely applied Sally Hansen X-treme Wear in Titanium Rose in a rough 3 flower/petal shape. I waited a bit to add the outline of the flower using LA Colors Metallic Pink stripe polish, then dotted on some Titanium Rose as well as some smaller dots of the LA Colors Metallic Pink Stripe polish. I dumped a small amount of Love my Nails Pretty in Pink onto a piece of tin foil and fished out some of the large pink hologhraphic hexagons. I wanted to add a little something else so I applied LA Colors Pink Glitter stripe polish to the insides of the flower petals as well.

2 kinda boring orange mani's

My heart isn't into Halloween this year; last year I had all my interior decorations up by Oct 1st and I am just starting to decorate this evening!

Also, any time I am way for a few days and come back to add posts to my blog - there seems to be problems with blogger. I think this is the 4th time that I have gone away, then sat down to post and blogger is fudged up. Or maybe it's just my blog. sigh. It took 20 minutes to get photos into a post = whats up with that?

Anyhoo - I love the finish of Nicole Fresh Squeezed, but hate that it is streaky and needs like, 4 coats. Here I have layered it over Avon's Bare Necessity which is a pinky mauve.

This is a better photo of the actual colour.....

The base was Avon Bare Necessity, 2 coats of Nicole by OPI in Fresh Squeezed

Scotch tape manis are a fine art - I tried to do an orange/green scotch tape look but it turned out terrible - even glitter wouldn't fix it.  I used Avon Olive Green ( USA version )

....... and here is how I make good use out of polish with a nasty frost finish...... Sponge! I started with a base of Wet n Wild Sunny Side up - 3 coats - then sponged on Nail Fetish Clash, then added a coat of Love My Nails Dazzling. No TC in these photos.

Bright oranges and pinks always mess with my camera..... I'll have to hunt around on the Internet to figure out what I can do to counteract that problem.
