Wet n Wild glittery red nail art

Todays mani is a bright red from the Wet n Wild MegaLast Collection. I used a thin striping brush to make curved lines with Wet n Wild Wild Shine Burgundy Frost, a swipe of Wet n Wild Mega Last in On the 101 = a pretty, multi-sized glitter in a black jelly base. I also added a few strokes of Witchcraft Red Glitter, for maximum glittery-ness

I added a coat of Pro-FX TC. This smoothed out any bumpy-ness -  but I find that this TC takes alot of work to remove with regular polish remover becuase it is sooooo thick.

Stuff I used for this mani

This is a lively bright red, 3 coats

..... with the addition of Burgundy Frost

  then glitter and top coat

I used Pro-FX TC for this mani

SORRY! ................ and Kosmic Colors Zebra nail art from the dollar-rama

I had to erase my blog-roll and do a bunch of other stuff to my blog layout ---- hopefully everyone has blog-lov'in or some other type of blog-reader-thingy, and won't miss my massive list of NAIL BLOGS for a week or two. When i have time this weekend i will have to figure out what to do about that. i wasn't able to edit it and people who abandoned their blogs, somehow their blogs turned into ads for companies and things I do not want to be associated with - so I had to erase the whole thing and I will have to start over.

I get bummed out when some of my favorite blogs stop posting, or don't post as much as usual, and so I am  sorry for doing that myself. I am straight up addicted to the Internet. = I could stay online from morning till night reading and looking at pictures of all sorts of things. I wish I had dial up cuz I would get frustrated easily and only have the patience for 1/2 hr of Internet a day LOL! So I have to just stay away all together

I am still alive but I am trying to not buy nail polish, and not spend 3 hours a day looking at nail blogs, nail art pictures, Pinterest and DIY websites (decor and do-it-yourself blogs) It is super duper hard!

I have also been bribing myself with new nail polish PURCHASES when I get things done around my home = it's not really working but I have reduced my ass-to-couch time quite a bit, and I am pretty proud of that. I still do my nails and try all the new easy nail art technique's I have found on-line. I am still only allowed to buy bottles of nail polish if they are under $2.00 CAD, The Dollar-Rama in Canada has been a goldmine for polish lately.

Which brings me to today's post. This is 2 pretty polish's from the Kosmic Colors line that I picked up last summer.... ( summer of 2013)  I used 3 coats of the No-Name Pink, and used a small liner brush to make the Zebra Stripes in this No-Name Red. I added a sloppy coat of the Wet n Wild ' Clear Nail Protector that I found at The Dollar-Rama......

stuff I used

I haven't really put this to the test, It dried pretty fast and shiny but didn't totally disguise the bumpy finish of my Zebra nail art. I am trying to stay away from thick, but incredibly shiny and smoothe Top Coats and am trying to use thinner Top coats. I'll make the sacrifice and have a lumpy/bumpy texture mani, to prevent having to use Acetone to remove polish if I can.

These are my real nails! - I can't beleive it either!

Rhinestones and the best black polish......................

When I looked at the profile of my nails I thought; Stegosaurus. Am I right? This mani is 1 coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme, followed by a no-name clear nail polish that I used to adhere these light green resin gems to my nails vertically. I didn't add a top coat which would have secured these for the day - I had some painting/sanding and other house stuff to do.

The resin gems were purchased at the Dollarama 2 years ago, I used a piece of spaghetti that I licked to pick up the gems and place them on my nails..... I really like this look ---- next time I will be a little more patient with my placement and really adhere these with a thick layer of TC.

Club Havana Moonlit Dance

I swear I don't work for Wet n Wild! Since I picked up these Megalast polish's last month,  I seem to gravitate towards them when I decide to paint my nails. WnW Club Havana is a pretty coral creme; 3 coats to opacity for me and dried surprisingly fast. Its still pretty humid in my region and I am shocked every time I polish my nails and it actually dries thoroughly.

here is a quickie dupe check --- I thought for sure these two were the same colour; but WnW Club Havana is way more coral.... This is Sally Hansen Insta Dri Orange Impulse on my ring nail - 2 coats.

1 coat of  Sally Hansen Moonlit Dance layered over 3 coats of WnW Club Havana

Update; I guess this wasn't truly, thoroughly dry because I woke up to my index and thumb having the texture of frosted glass --- but the gold bits disguised it extremely well ---- I would say that those two nails look like a tamer version of the sugar coat polish finish that is getting popular right now. Below is a photo in sun beside an actual pane of frosted glass ( not really ~ its that peel and stick window film from Canadian Tire ) I'll probably slap another coat of Moonlit Dance on my nails till I redo them.

I'm not really a fan of the sugar coat finish or sand finish but this looks pretty cool -

stuff I used...... WnW Club Havana with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Moonlit Dance

I could not take a proper picture  of this pretty  polish. I picked this up at the DollarRama a few months ago. It is an orange jelly base with gold flecks.

This is an excellent layering polish and worked for me today as I am not really a fan of orange and coral polish's. This was $2 CAD where they are regularly priced at $8-ish at Walmart.

Icing Love-It and Wet N Wild Candy-Licious

I love all sorts of glitter but this polish wasn't glittery enough for me. I  recently visited an Icing Store and picked up quite a few of these Icing polishes. We used to have one in the nearest big city but they closed down, it was one of the only reasons I even went to the mall in that town. Anyways, this is a blue/gold/magenta/black glitter that I found too sparse for my glitter neeeds - but I love black glitter right now so  I suppose I will hang onto it.

The base is 3 coats of a light pink creme from Wet N Wild Megalast. I am loving these Megalast polishes from Wet n Wild. I probably could have added another coat as I had a few sparse areas but it was a nice day and I wanted to hang out outside.

WnW Mega Last Candy-Licious on its own... 3 coats

......... and here is another pretty WnW Mega Last mani; I heard it Through the Grapevine.  2 coats.

I used this L.A. Colors top/base for this mani and I don't think it dried fast enough..... next time I will give it more time to dry as a base coat. The smudge was not due to the polish but to clumsiness on my part; I really should try to sit still for at least 3 minutes immediately after I paint my nails lol. To disguise the smudge I dabbed on a little more WnW Heard it Through the Grapevine then added a coat of Wet n Wild Fast Dry Hannah Pinktanna.

This polish bottle magically opened by itself and leaked all over the place. I dont recall many blog posts about this basecoat/topcoat, maybe there is a good reason why? Or I need to let it dry a little bit longer before applying my nail polish.

stuff I used Wet n Wild Mega Last I Heard it Through the Grapevine, Fast Dry Hannah Pinktanna & L.A. Colors Base coat/Topcoat.

Hanna Pink Tanna and Blue Wants to be a millionaire are pretty holographic glitter polish's that have saved so many manicure crisis's, the brush's are a little stiff but these are great to have around for nail polish snafu's.

without TC this dries to a satin finish

Wet n Wild Mega Last in Canada?

So has the new line-up of Wet n Wild MegaLast shown up in Canada yet? the last time I was in a Canadian department store they had 12 shades of MegaLast polish, pretty cremes and subtle shimmers. However, on a recent trip to the U.S.A. I picked up a handful of the beautiful glitters - but am craving more. I am so glad I popped into the Dollar General store because it was a nail polish goldmine!

Is that collection supposed to end up in Canada? Anyone know? I hope so because there is at least 12 more that I want!!!!!!There is some seriously beautiful polish's in that collection and they have a great formula and a good price.

This mani is 2 coats of MegaLast I Red a Good Book with 3 coats of Club Cabaret layered over it. I just saw  on Nouvea Cheap's blog ( U.S.A.- Sorry rest of the world  ) that these two polish's are being sold together for 2.99 @ Walgreen's. I think these are under $3.00 \cad, but I can't remember how much for sure.

Wn'W Club Cabaret is a pretty red/silver multi-sized glitter. My only complaint is that there is not more of a colour distinction between the larger hex glitter and the smaller round glitter. I think the small bubbles helped fill in some glitter-sparse areas - lol.
