Sinful Colors 'Maghony' with StripRite copper nail stripers

Here is one of the Sinful Colors I picked up recently - 3 thin coats of  Maghony with some really cool and easy-to-do nail art using Stripe-Rite Striping polish's. I dont know why I am so intimidated by free-hand nail art. This was really easy and is an easy way to dress up a manicure. I found these nail art stripers at Sally Beauty Supply

I think this polish is supposed to be Ma-hog-any.... like the wood. It is a rich vampy red that dried very shiny. The brush bristles were stiff and square. Not sure why it is spelled the way it is; but who am I to chastise anyone's spelling ( mwah- ha-ha ). The nail stripers have no names, just numbers and I am not sure if these can be purchased on-line, the brush is much thinner then the LA Colors striping polish I have used recently. I think I might even pick up fine, thin stripe-ing brush to try some other colors ( or make one )......

before the addition of glitter and a clean-up

I think that is looks cool with-out the glitter too! Sorry I waited so long to mess around with striping polish.... It's so easy and fast= You do need a Top Coat for some polish's from this brand, though♥

Old Skool Sinful Colors Haul'in & a sponge mani fail

 ..... sponge mani

okay, its not really a fail... I miss my looooong nails and did this look for fun. I used a coat of Naturistic's Super Chrome Amber Chrome as a base, then sponged on LA Colors Topaz and LA Colors Copper.....  Not my best effort but good enough for the day.

Stuff I used for this look

I stopped in my favorite bargain store in town and found these old Sinful Colors.... With the exception of the the weird frosty green below Mean Green, these are all beautiful, wearable and lovely polish's. Some have conflicting labels.....  LOL at Daisy the Pig in the second set ({ wrong label  & super funny name })

How long ago did Sinful Colors Change their bottle design. Some of the ones I have seen on the internet are very, very nice.

All 2 coats with 1 coat of TC. The grey with the blue iridescence called NYC is the standout, I think, along with the HOT bright pink, Passion Fruit

L-R, Old Gold, Whats That!, Maghony Flame ( lol ), Green Bean, Passion Fruit

L-R Fuchsia Purple, Fiji/Fuchsia's Touch,  Sharon's Heart, Sharon's Heart/ Daisy The Pig, NYC

Many of the shimmers in this groupare intense, a little pricey for the olden days IMO. The two pinks with golden shimmers and the same name... are not the same. one is much more golden. Anyone else int he world have a whole bunch of these in a shoebox under her bed? I'm excited to do mani's with these.

Have a great weekend, I'll keep fighting with blogger to get posts up for, not sure why they keep changing things.

LA Colors Radiation and has anyone heard of Debbilla NP before....

3 thin coats of La Colors Radiation with a coat of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat

Here is 3 thin coats of LA Colors Radiation, a prettyteal shimmer. I knew this would need 3 to 4 coats, but it dried super duper fast so I have no complaints. One thing I did notice about these LA Colors Color Craze polish's, was that the Matte shades I purchase; Static Electricity, Atomic and Nuclear Energy dried very slow, while the shimmery polish I have from the LA Colors Color Craze collection dry super, duper fast. Anyone else notice this?

Further along in my post I do a quick comparison with an un-named Color Rama polish, and Wet n' Wild Bijou Blue... All three are dupes of each other with the Color-Rama having more oomph.... which is odd since it is older. But just like I saw about most things = they don't make stuff like they used too (*nudge nudge*  SENSITIVE AND DIFFICULT COFFEE MAKER )

a line up of similar colors.... ( green with envy really doesn't fit in here..... it's too green... with envy )

LA Colors Radiation, Rimmel Green With Envy, Color Rama un-named, Wet n' Wild Bijou Blue. NYC Empire State Blue, China Glaze Sexy in The City

Also, has anyone come across these in the world, I know I have seen GORGEOUS full sized bottles of the brand HERE ( U have to click = gorgeous! ), but I have never been able to find any information on the interwebs about this company..... there is alot of coverage of the M/U but not so much on the polish. Oh and of course Lextard has one too; a gorgeous purple/blue glitter

anyhoo- here are some mini's I found at my favorite bargain store in my town... they look a little dried out but can be revived. There was two different sets, the brushes are surprisingly good as well as the actual bottles. Alot of times mini-polish bottles are not great, at all. And if there is anymore next time I hit up that store I will snag them.... for frankens.

2 different sets of polish

So here is my quickie comparison of some similar teal shimmers. The number on the Color-Rama bottle says 107 I beleive, and there is also no sticker with the name on it. So if any-one knows the name of this polish......

Un-named Color Rama, LA Colors Radiation, Wet n' Wild Bijou Blue

........In the same order

The Color-rama is way more bright and glowey, but these are all extremely similar. Indoor Flo

♥ LA Colors Wired, I LOVE YOU WET N" WILD & my USA make-up haul ♥

THAT is the glow I'm talking about

This is 3 thin coats of LA Colors Wired and a coat of Nailene TC. I love blues that have this intense glowey-ness to them that shows in the sun and in brighter lighting.  Although its still too sheer for me at 3 coats, this is a winner. These are easily available in the USA at The Dollar Tree and other discount and bargain-ish shops and are available at many places on the interwebz  ( Cherry Culture I think ).

These are my real nails..... my nubbins for the next few days, my pinky nails are super awkwardly long........ I am doing weird experiments w/ different products.

Also in this post is my USA make-up haul...... I cannot resist dollar tree make-up. If I didn't find all those Color-Rama's I would have bought one of each of everything they had at The Dollar Tree. Even though it'll sit in a drawer for the next year or so..... I have no control over my 12 year old self when it comes to in-expensive make-up goodies.......

I am a delinquent blogger, below is my USA make-up haul from summer and I am just getting around to posting it now..  I am straight up infatuated with the Dollar Tree in the USA, I actually paused and smiled when I wrote that ~ I will fondly remember shopping there this summer.

I think I could seriously drive 4 hours to the USA and only go to The Dollar Tree, a few thrift stores and hit up Walmart for Pure Ice Polish's and Love my Nails Polish's and be happy.

Below - these eye shadow's Kick bunz! They are/were $4.00 each at Walmart Canada... They are regularly $5.97 in Canada which is an awesome price for the color payoff. Also did anyone in Canada spot the holiday edition of these Wet n' Wild eye-shadows?

I picked this stuff up at CVS in the USA, it was BOGO 1/2
There is a trillion tutorial's with these. Here is a Brilliant Brunettes looks with these Wet n' Wild Pallets

This train case was an awesome deal! we rarely get cool sets like this in Canada, and if we do.... it would be $50.00. I thought the eye-shadow would be crap.... but its really good. After I got back tot he hotel with this and tried it out, I ran back to CVS to grab the two pallets above, becuase they were BOGO for 1/2...

... a bunch of photos.... I know Nouveau Cheap posted about this a few months ago.... but there could still be a few of these tucked away at a CVS new you ( USA)

Wet n' Wild Sugar Coat, Disturbia and Caught Red Handed

Posting these make-up pic's of items I found at the Dollar Tree, makes me regret not buying more..... They always have such cool stuff there. I rarely wear make-up, so its cool to find all these goodies in-expensively.

some eye-shadow mousse, lite colored lip-liners (  intense, long lasting color pay-off IMO ) and an eye pencil.....

I thought those single use tooth brush things were so neat, its actually a pretty good idea! I have purchased this St Ives lotion in 3 different provinces and in the USA and every time the formula feels different - Whats up with that? Those Revlon eye-shadow's are pretty decent, but as with any eye-product you need a good primer.

The Family Dollar is a kick-ass bargain store......   you can find LA COLORS products and ARISSA nail polish there. All these goodies below were $1.00 USD each.  This Brand 'Body Fantasies' makes the most lovely body sprays. I love that cotton candy one and I bought a big huge bottle at CVS....

Also at Kmart, they had a huuuuuge rack of these in scents I had never heard of before.... caramel pear? I regret not buying that one. I think that these are sometimes a better room spray than most of the other products I have purchased for this purpose.

We have LA Colors nail art strippers in Canada, but they are not packaged like these and are usually opened, messy and dried out. I hate that! So I was happy to snag these. And check out that cute single serving Nailene nails nail sticker package, the flowers are very intricate and beautiful!

Finally - I have been looking for BLACK NON-powder coated drop earring things for ever!!!!!!! These types of things including the black wire and jump rings are expensive in Canada, and are not of good quality. I am flabbergasted that all these jewelery making supplies cost only 6 bucks USA

Also, If anyone remembers me complaining about Micheal's Crafts and how they often reduce the prices of items like 3 months after I buy something by 75% and then I freak out and vow never to shop there EVER AGAIN...... well, I guess I was there at the right time becuase I finally cashed in on some serious bargains, so like I always write and say, it pays to visit your favirote stores OFTEN♥

♥ Confetti vs. Sinful purple jelly flecked & My Fav Martian ♥

Ohhhhhhh this is a pretty one...... above is Sinful Colors I Love You. = I cant believe I havent done a full manicure with this yet its beautiful! Before I did my nails for the day I wanted to do a quick comparison of Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl, Sinful Colors I love You and Confetti Happy Birthday.

Also in case anyone cares.... I woke up on Friday filled with sunshine, rainbows and smiles.... but by Friday afternoon I had a full blown cold..... It was only October first for friggs sakes. I have been laid up in bed and am just getting back to normal now. Well, not really because anytime I stop physically moving, I have a savage hacking whopping cough = yippee winter!!!!!

Anyhoo -here is a quickie comparison and some photos of an awesome SOON TO BE DISCONTINUED  polish, Confetti My Favorite Martian♥

Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl, Happy Birthday, Sinful Colors I love You

L-R  = 3 coats each with No top coat.....

Daddys Girl - very jelly - very blurple, - sparse pinkish glass flecks - quite sheer
Confetti Happy Birthday - dark purple, silver-ish dense glass flecks, jelly-ish but build-able
I Love You - purple bordering on blurple (?), very, very dense pinkish glass flecks, jelly-ish but build-able

Indoor fluorescent.... blurples rarely photograph properly.

and here they are alone.....

Daddy's Girl 3 thin coats w/1 coat TC

Happy Birthday 3 thin coats w/1 coat TC

I Love You 3 thin coats w/1 coat TC

Finally, here is Confetti My Favorite Martian - Wow this is awesome! This had great coverage, I thought it would need 1 million coats but here is 3 thiiiiiiiin coats with a coat of Nailene Acrylic Strong TC. I tried layering this over a brownish shade to copy the new ChG zombie zest... but it completely covered it up. I have recently seen someone layer this over black - It looks great over black, it changes the depth of the color but keeps the awesome green shade and really show-cases the eye-catching flecks. The next time I wear My Favorite Martian I will wear it over black.
