Double French Tips?

Here's a mani from a  few months ago.... I wasn't totally happy with the darker purple colour that I chose, but because blogger isn't working for me and I cannot upload all the photos I want to I'll post this instead. I started with a base of Billie Cosmetics in Turquois ( lol )  - I let it dry then affixed thin tape to my nails and added 2 coats of Billie Cosmetics Mauve ( lol ). I should have done a better job and added more coats of Mauve, or at least filled in some of the bare spots.  When everything felt dry I removed the tape and added 1 coat of top coat......

Next time I will use a more opaque polish and more than one coat of TC.

Stuff I used - Billie Cosmetics Turquois and Billie Cosmetics Mauve ( lol at those names )

Pink Sponge with new Dollar Tree Polish's

This Mani was 3 coats of a no name Donna Michelle nail polish that I found at The Dollar Tree in Canada. I googled the name of this polish = but they don't have real names! So I am calling this Pink while the other polish shown below will be Dark Purple..... I thought for sure they would be one of those ultra stinky polishes from overseas but it wasn't that bad.

These Donna Michelle nail polish's appear to be in similar bottles to Klean Color nail polish's...... they also smell somewhat similar. Has anyone else tried these?

On it's own I fell like this took longer to dry then say..... Sally Hansen X-treme Wear polish or Wet n Wild - Wild Shine. It is a beautiful colour and for 1 dollar I can't complain. It looked like most of the polishes available at The Dollar Tree at the time were already taken in the display, so if I head to the big city again anytime soon I hope to pick up a few more of these.

After wearing this pink polish alone for the morning I had to I add a beautiful pink foil nail polish to the tips of my nails ..... I sponged on Billie Alloy, which is a light pink foil nail polish. Billie Cosmetics are another brand of polish that is available at the Dollar Tree. Check out this photo from summer - - ( from WPG, MB, by Hooters on St. James lol )

So close..... Canada day nails.....

well, it's sorta Canada day-ish... just 3 days late. This was 2 coats of Billie Cosmetics French White. I applied fancy blue office tape and swiped on a bright red polish so that I would only have to use 1 coat of LA Colors Stripe polish in Red Glitter. When it was dry I peeled off the tape and added TC..... It was ridiculously humid out when I did this mani ( it still is ) and I did not want to press down on the tape - so my lines are not as crisp as I would have liked.....

I have to add that coming up with inspiring 4th of July nails ( USA) is easier than Canada Day nails

Happy Independace Day!

I used blue office tape to mark off the red sections, then slapped on a bright red polish so I would only have to use 1 'coat' of the la colors stripe polish.

Summer dots

This was my mani before the Sally Hansen Mint Sprint staining fiasco yesterday. I started with a base of Billie French White, then dotted on 4 different bright flourescent polish's with a dotting tool and slapped on a coat of TC ( when my dots were sorta dry ).

I visited the big city this weekend ( Weinerpeg Manitoba ) and spotted these at the Dollar Tree on St James ( next door to Hooters, lol ). These are super duper bright polish's - they dry fast but these specific ones are on the sheer side, so your looking at 3 or more coats to get to the bottle shade...... but for $1.25 CAD I AM NOT COMPLAINING.

stuff I used, Billie Cosmetics Elesctric yellow, Electric Pink, White, Electric Coral and Electric Blue

Cheetah spots!

The pink base of my cheeetah nails is BRIGHT!  I used 3 coats of Billie Cosmetics Pink Pansy as a base, then added the cheetah spots with Billie Cosmetics Purple Haze. I topped it all off with an older Wet n Wild polish called Rock Solid Diamonds.

On my pinky nail I used the brush straight from the bottle to make the cheetah spots, then switched to a smaller nail art brush for the rest of my nails with not-do-great results. = These in-expensive but soooooo awesome polish's from Billie Cosmetics dry too fast for this sort of nail art.

Title?

I have been meaning to do this look for a while now.  I don't know if I should call this 'lattice' nails..... or 'bold geometric line nails'.... This was super-duper easy to do, the addition of Love My Nails Dazzling helped bring this pattern together, but it still looked cool without it.

I started with a base of Billi Cosmetics Turquois, then made random intersecting lines with LA Colors stripe polish's in Hot Pink and Fuchsia.

...see - it is spelled like that
