China Glaze purple diagional mani

This is 3 thin coats of China Glaze Spontaneous with China Glaze Grape Juice. I applied a curved french mani tip-guide across my nails diagonally and added 2 coats of Grape Juice, when it was dry I applied a coat of Nailene Top Coat.

China Glaze Spontaneous, China Glaze Grape Juice and Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat

Below; I found these brushes at the dollar store.... The bright colours ones are for acetone clean-ups and applying moisturizer around my cuticles before painting my nails as I keep misplacing my black brushes.....  I haven't tried any nail art with these, If I do I will be using acrylic water based paint, there decent for a dollar store paint brush.

HappyBerry Naids dots, Cheetah/Zebra and a pink Sponge mani

yes, the metallic pink stripe killed this mani,,,,,, but I am getting much better at making zebra stripes and cheetah spots.

I wanted to have a copper and baby pink mani, but my Stripe Rite striping polish in Copper was left open the last time I used it so it was all thick and goopy. before I realized it wouldn't be usable I had already applied it to 3 nails. I covered it up with the Hot Pink Art Deco Stripe polish, then covered that up with a metallic pink.

products used - Claire's Mini in Fiji, Wet n' Wild Crystallic in Golden Pink, Art Deco Hot Pink Nailene Top Coat

This is 3 coats of Claire's Fiji..... I knew there was a reason this was in my franken pile! it needs 3 to 5 coats to get totally opaque. It is a creme and I have at least 10 light pink creme's that are good to go in 3 coats or less.  I added another coat of Claire's Fiji after I took this photo, as well as a coat of Nailene TC.

I drew a diagonal line across my nail and added cheetah spots to the lower half, I outlined the cheetah spots with Art Deco stripe polish in Hot Pink, and made the zebra stripes with the Art Deco stripe polish as well.

I used Wet n Wild Crystallic in Golden pink for the cheetah spots.

... then outlined the spots with Art Deco strip polish and added the zebra stripes.

....and another sponge mani, a very subtle girlish sponge mani

For this mani, I started with a base of Billie Bubble Gum....... mmmmmmmm = yum, it really does smell like bubble gum! I used one of those 'sexy car wash' sponges, and sponged the three SH XW polish's randomly over my nail. I added 2 coats of a franken polish I made with some older silver shimmery polish's added to clear.

Sally Hansen Hot Magenta is a bright shimmery polish, the brightness of it and the colour mess around with my camera every time I try to photograph it.

3 coats of Billie Bubble Gum - it is frosty but it smells good!

A Copy of HappyBerryNaiads dots mani!

I think her's is much prettier than mine, she used all creme polish's and mine are shimmer polish's. I will try it in the same colour scheme as she did sometime in the future. Check out her V-day mani HERE

The polish's I used for this mani are old skool Sinful Colors in Sharron's Heart as a base, then dotted on Fiji, Fuchsia Purple and Greenwich Girl. I applied 2 coats of the pink; Sharron's Heart, and then started dotting with a dotting tool using the three other colours. I went over any sparse area's with the pink polish again to ensure that it looked like my nails were all dots.

I added a coat of clear, but before I could add a final coat of TC and take proper photo's I marred this mani, by dragging MY WET NAIL POLISH ACROSS MY MICROWAVE , really why? Why and how. I know that when it is time to seriously do my nails I must make time to sit still, and not do anything.......

I think this turned out okay, it is fool proff and easy to do which is exactly the type of nail art I like.

Wet n' Wild Lavender Creme with Icing Hazelnut / Icing un-named comparison

Here is a mani I did a few weeks ago but never posted for some reason, Wet n Wild Lavender Creme with a comparison of Icing Hazelnut and a mini un-named similar colour form an LE 5 set. There is a slight difference, very slight. The Icing mini polish has a tad more red to it.

Icing Hazelnut is a brown shimmery frost, that with careful thin coats does not leave alot of brush marks like many frosts do ( those nasty, nasty frosts)

I have to mention that I wore my last mani, Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune for 5 3/4 days! It is very very pretty. Luckily there is 6 versions of this very same nail polish available all over the world. I did find that it stained my fingers when I removed it, even though I applied moisturizer all over my hands and into my cuticles before removal..... just a heads up.

Below; 3 thin coats with TC - Wet n Wild Laveneder Creme is a bright fun pink, I had this for months and months before I even tried it. I really like it and have used it quite a bit in the last few weeks.

I love this diagonal mani look, its simple to do ~ but I can never get it to look as sharp just using the polish brush, I need these french tip guides. I even tried using a stripe polish to get a diagonal line, (and then fill it in of course) but they don't seem to come out even.

3 days!!!!! Wet n' Wild Teal of Fortune

Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune, 2 coats layered over 2 coats of China Glaze Shower Together and a coat of Nailene TC. I have been wearing this for 3 days and I dont want tot take it off = it is very pretty!!! I use ChG Shower Together for pedi's all the time, its 1/2 gone already. Even though Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune covers nicely in 3 - 4 coats, the brush is very stiff and I would have way to many brush marks and bare spots if I wore it alone.

NEW Wet n Wild's in Canada & 2 glittery looks

This is 2 coats of Billie French White, followed by Billie Amethyst sponged on the tips and 1 coat of Icing Passion hap haphazardly layered on top then 2 coats of Sally Hansen Strobe light followed by TC.

I must note that I had worn my nails plain white for a day and a half before I fancied it up - That might be a new record for me as I am not a fan of pure white mani's for some reason.

Sponging the area before applying glitter on a glitter tipped mani like this sometimes gives the illusion of an all glitter area. I tend to do this look alot and I am usually happy with how it turns out - regardless of the colours I use.

I looooove that there are different sizes and shapes in Sally Hansen Strobe Light, and I am glad that I used the pinkish shimmery and dense Icing polish, Passion, before I added the Sally Hansen glitter.

Yippee = the Wet n Wild Fast Dry polish's have landed in Canada!!!!! I am a little disappointed with the brushes in these -they seem very stiff- like the brush on my Wet n`Wild Wild Orchid polish. All the other polish's I have from wet and wild have lovely brushes..... weird

EDIT: these can be found at Walmart 2.89 CAD and Zellers 2.99 CAD

...and another glitter mani

I started with 2 coats of a pretty chrome polish and added glitter to the tips of my nilsd, and glittered up my entire ring nail. This is the large hex glitter from this hallowen sample package I found at the dollar store. I applied clear polish to the tips of my nails and sprinkled on the holo hex glitter.  When I was happy with my glitter coverage I added 2 coats of TC. These pieces of glitter were far to big for a glitter sprinkle mani.

Here is a photo of another pretty glitter sprinkle mani I did in summer-time. I didn't think that the size of the glitter would be a factor but a smaller size seems to be a better choice for the future.

The holo glitter in this manicure is much smaller than the one in THIS POST.
